چکیده
Background & Objectives: Subclinical hypothyroidism (SCH) represents the mildest form of thyroid hormone deficiency and may be associated with adverse consequences. SCH is defined as an elevated serum thyrotropin (often referred to thyroid-stimulating hormone, or TSH) level normal levels free thyroxine (FT4) that affects up 10% adult population. The identification patients subclinical having increased cardiovascular risk great importance in present era. aim study was evaluate factors hypothyroidism.
Methods: 120 age gender matched healthy euthyroid controls group 18-70 years were included study. Body mass index (BMI), lipid profile, biomarkers estimated both groups further compared using student t-test. Lipid profile also correlated ADMA IL-6 results analyzed Pearson’s correlation coefficient.
Results: Patients had significantly higher TSH, ADMA. Similarly, total cholesterol (TC) low-density lipoprotein (LDL-C) HDL-C decreased when same parameters (p<0.001). Significant positive correlations found among ADMA.
Conclusions: concluded presented concentrations disease (CVD) viz. IL-6, profile. potential benefits diagnosis treatment have possible advantages firstly by preventing progression overt secondly decrease death from starting appropriate therapy improve parameters.

Hyperprolactinemia in association with subclinical hypothyroidism
Background: Hyperprolactinemia is the most common endocrine disorder in hypothalamic-pituitary axis and has been reported in variable levels in patients with overt primary hypothyroidism. We decided to determine the prevalence of hyperprolactinemia and clinical related symptoms in subclinical hypothyroidism patients. Methods: In this cross sectional study, prolactin levels of 481 subclinical hy...

OBJECTIVE To evaluate the relation between serum thyroid-stimulating hormone (TSH) and lipids. DESIGN Cross-sectional epidemiological study, nested case-control study, and a placebo-controlled double-blind intervention study. Background: Diabetes mellitus (DM) is a health concern which leads to complications such as retinopathy. Pakistan has 6.9 million people living with DM and this toll will be doubled by 2025. Objective: To determine serum IL-6 and IL-17 of type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) patients with retinopathy. Methods: In this cross-sectional casecontrol study, 212 subjects enrolled which were categorized in...
متن کاملAlteration of Lipid Profile in Subclinical Hypothyroidism: A Meta-Analysis
BACKGROUND Previous studies yielded controversial results about the alteration of lipid profiles in patients with subclinical hypothyroidism. We performed a meta-analysis to investigate the association between subclinical hypothyroidism and lipid profiles. MATERIAL AND METHODS We searched PubMed, Cochrane Library, and China National Knowledge Infrastructure articles published January 1990 thr...
متن کاملLipid profile in subclinical hypothyroidism: is L-thyroxine substitution beneficial?
OBJECTIVE The significance of dyslipidemia in subclinical hypothyroidism (SH) and the effect of thyroid substitution on lipids remain controversial. The present study aimed to assess the association of SH with lipid abnormalities and to quantify the effect of L-thyroxine therapy on serum lipid profiles. DESIGN Serum lipid parameters of 66 patients with SH and 75 age- and sex-matched euthyroid...
